PSP Southampton Boat Show 2014 | Sunseeker 86 Yacht Debut and Broom 430
The PSP Southampton Boat Show is a boating spectacular that
has taken place for the past 48 years. I
had never been to the event until today and having grown up on the outskirts of
Southampton we thought that it was about time that we gave it a go.
The Southampton Boat Show is a massive event and a great
family day out. The event lasts for 10
days and is held on the waterfront, starting at Mayflower Park and Town
Quay. There are hundreds of marine and
leisure based exhibitors, suppliers and of course many different types of boats
to hanker after.
We had a free trip on along Southampton Water on a Rib
courtesy of Suzuki Marine which was fun and definitely worth a go. We also had complementary drinks in the MDL
Marinas Hospitality bar to chill out in between pottering around looking at all
of the various boats and yachts.
My favourite exhibits at the Southampton Boat Show 2014 were
Broom Boats and Sunseeker. Broom Boats were
showcasing their newest vessel the Broom 430.
The Broom 430, priced at over £500k is a beautiful, 43ft cruiser with
two generously sized en-suite births and a superior quality decor finish
throughout. Broom describes this boat as
‘outstanding at sea, smooth on the river and sheer luxury in the harbour.' The Broom 430 would be ideal as both a sea
boat and for exploring inland waterways.
I loved this boat as it felt luxurious, spacious and modern yet understated so you
would not feel like a wannabe celebrity!

The Sunseeker exhibit literally oozed luxury. The PSP Southampton Boat Show 2014 saw the
debut of the Sunseeker 86 Yacht. Priced
at over £4m the 86 Yacht is highly exclusive and every detail is absolute
perfection. It has three extravagant spacious
bedrooms with sea views and en-suite.
The Sunseeker 86 Yacht has a top speed of 30 knots. This boat was absolutely amazing and probably
bigger than most people’s homes! Plenty of room to relax and unwind in pure exclusivity. Definitely the type of boat for celebrities and lottery winners as you
would need to hire a crew to operate it for you (who also have bedrooms with bunkbeds!) but hey we can all dream!

The PSP Southampton Boat Show is definitely worth a visit if
you have never been before. It was a good opportunity to check out the Broom 430 and of corse the debut of the Sunseeker 86 Yacht. We were
really lucky with the weather and all in all it was a great day out for all the
family.
Have you ever been to the Southampton Boat Show?
What do you think of the Broom 430 and the Debut of the Sunseeker 86 Yacht?
